New Blog Alert!

The kid and I have decided that we want to start a blog together chronicling the various hikes we go on. We've decided to rate each hike using the star system from 1 to 5 stars with half stars being an option. We are going to rate each hike based on the following--

1. Accessibility of trailhead- How easy to follow are the directions to get there? How well is it marked? How are the roads leading to the start?

2. Trail Upkeep- How well maintained is the trail? Is it well marked and obvious where to go once you are on it?

3. Pay off- View? Scenery? Worth the work?

4. Level of effort- Elevation gain? How hard is it? Do you need to climb over rocks/trees? Lots of switchbacks?

We decided that we will each review the hike without reading the other's thoughts then we will put it all together and publish. We hope you will enjoy reading about our adventures and perhaps you might be inspired to get out and do some hiking too! :)
